Take a break, have a Kit Kat! Haha... After so long, semester break has finally arrived. Never mind the pain and torments all of us went through during the past 14 weeks. Burning midnight oil and having study groups.. ah... i just don't know how on earth we went through all that.
Anyway, it's all worth it. Just bear with all that for another 4 semesters, then we all can say "Hooray" and "Merdeka!!" Till then, that's not the end of everything yet. We still gotta go through those sophisticated mathematical questions by SOA... well, hopefullly it won't be as bad as what I think. Hehe...
It's holiday now.. Haha.. went for a class trip - just came back from Seremban and Malacca. It was really fun. Thanks to two good hosts - Zheng Hao and Wee Siang. They brought all of us to many places and ate delicious food. Wah... really miss the fun. It's never enough when it comes to playing and having fun, isn't it?
Many interesting pictures were taken, but it's still with Vincent and Wee Siang. Too bad, can't upload it here yet.. haha..
Well, I really dunno wat to do during this 3 weeks holidays. Felt like starting to teach piano class... After so long, i think it's time to teach and also continue my passion in music. After all, daddy mummy have spent so much on me not only financially, but also put lots of effort and gave moral support. Really touched... I love you, daddy mummy!!

Help!!! I'm now fully loaded with so many stuffs... with so many assignments and tests coming up...
Fuh!~ can't really imagine how am i going to bear with all these for 2 more years.
It's the 7th month in Chinese Lunar Calendar now... Early of the month my parents have given me warning, "Don't go out till so late". Yet, the first few days i did went out, i still rmb i went out till quite late. Sorry dad, mum... i dun mean it... it's just once in a while i go out and hav fun with my frens. Besides, that day was my fren's birthday...
Well, all in all, that time i admit, i was at fault. In that week itself, I've been out for late outings quite often. Now I can't blame my parents for grounding me. After all, in parents' heart, their children are still 'little children' though they've grown up, right?
But sometimes the naughty and rebellious side of me felt that i should not be treated that way - i mean, i'm already above 18 now! Why on earth my friends can go out or even stay overnight at other friend's house and why can't I?
Ah... I guess everyone goes through this stage in their lives. Jz hope that one day I would have the true take on freedom to go out in future. But anyway, parents' decision are always for their children's sake. So, haha.. there's no harm to try to obey them right?

Lots of things happen lately, but didn't really have the opportunity to post all of them here. Was really busy with studies lately, mainly because of the weekly tests held almost every week and assignments and presentations, bla bla bla...
But that doesn't mean that I locked myself at home, and be a good girl, burrowing my head over piles of books and notes.. Haha.. in fact, I go out pretty often, and come back late. That really earns me reprimands from dad and mom... Well, I deserved it... All this while I have been grounded, and now that they let me out for outings, so why not I grab this advantage to enjoy, right? haha... but that doesn't mean that I take that for granted... I still try my very best to keep my 'good' image in my parents' eyes and heart... :p
Yesterday was the latest I have been out. And that breaks all my previous records. (was back home only by 3.30am ++) wow... But it has been a great day after all... Went to celebrate Hao's birthday earlier with his housemates, ate at Tony Roma's at Sunway. Thanks a lot to Adrian's plan and ideas, the celebration turned out to be a great success..
Tuesday will be his (Hao's) big day... Hope everything goes well...

Yippie!!~~~~ The busiest two weeks has passed... At least now I have the time to really 'breathe' and 'relax' for a while before struggling for the coming assignments and tests again.
Hmm... but there's something in my mind. I dunno how to disclose this to anyone, coz i know i'm never good in explaining stuffs and in words.
My heart is now full of confusion... and i really dunno how to explain this. Arh.... I think i'll just let things go it's way, let things go naturally... hopefully God will lead me to the correct path...pray for me.........

Arh....!!! I just feel like knocking my head on the wall... tomorrow there will be a test for Theory of Interest. But till now, I really don't understand. Well, partly is my fault for not being attentive during lectures. Hmm.. but the text book and notes provided aren't really helpful either.
Tried the tutorial questions, but I have already put lots of effort on it. I just feel like hugging my pillow and cry right now.... *sobs*
Hmmm... Sher Ryn, you can do it! Yes, I can do it! Just some motivation words when I'm on the verge of giving up. Wish me luck...

2 July 2008 - A day out to Sunway Pyramid for Wee Siang's birthday celebration... It was a fun day out there with big group of friends.
Zheng Hao actually came out with the idea of collecting a small amount of money from all of our classmates to be put in 'ang pao'. We collected RM 100 altogether from all of us, and the money was divided to few different ang pao's. Each packet contained different amount of money, and some even had the so called 'cash' from the board game of Monopoly. Out of the 20 packets, Wee Siang was given 3 chances to choose his gift.
First and second chance - he did not successfully get the real cash.
At the 3rd attempt, he picked the packet that contains RM 25. The remaining RM75 was to be his expenses for ice-skating and food. (well, that was a creative and brilliant idea, isn't it?)
Vincent had actually counted the expected value that Wee Siang would get and it turned out to be correct! Wow.. this guy really implemented whatever he learnt from Probability and Statistics very well.
The ice-skating session took us approximately more than 5 hours. As for me, it's more like for 'falling' session. Haha... Being the second time stepping into the ice rink, I kinda slipped and fell at the entrance the moment I entered. Oh.. that was really embarassing.. Haha... The whole ice-skating session was the most enjoyable, yet a tiring one. But we all really had fun on that day. Some of my friends can really skate very well and even taught the rest of us how to skate! Thanks, my dear friends...
After that, the guys had fun at the arcade, while Ai Teng and I went window-shopping. (Well... sorry coz it's not nice to leave and get separated, but we girls think that it's better than spending time in the arcade with the boys...geez...)
After that we went for BBQ & steamboat buffet at Subang. The price was reasonable, RM 20 per pax. There were really lots of varieties of food there.. Yummy~~~
Alas, we went back home feeling rather tired. But all of us had a great day out there. Oh yea.. let me take this opportunity to expess my sincerest gratitude to Mr. Wong Zheng Hao and Mr. Wong Thian Jiet. Thanks for giving me a lift whenever there's an outing. Haha... Really feel very sorry to trouble them.

26th June... I ponteng again... this time it's not because I want to, but coz of transport difficulty. (excuses??) Nah... Anyway, I ended up going out with my gang of friends from St Mary's Secondary School.

I was at my grandparents' place when I saw an advertisement about Disneyland. It has been my dream since I was still a little girl to go there.
When I was a little girl, probably about 7 to 9 years old, I always think that one day I would probably go there and meet Mickey and Minnie and shake hands with all the cartoon characters there, clad in princess-like gowns and dresses, dancing with a prince... That was more than 10 years ago...
As I grow older, I begin to think that it'll be a wonderful place to go dating or for honeymoon. (Haha) With the cooling weather and my favorite characters, it would definitely be a perfect place for both of us. Tightly embraced by you-know-who, we'll walk together slowly, and enjoy ourselves there. Haha... sometimes I really tend to wonder things and day-dream too much, huh? Sometimes I would even think that my future prince will propose to me at Disneyland. Well.. it's just a dream anyway... How far it's gonna come true, no one will know.
As a well-known song goes, "Que sera sera, whatever will be. will be, The future's not ours to see, Que sera sera..." Ah... i just love fairy-tales!!

YT's gonna run for the Student Rep Committee??? Well, that's the message I received from him on my way home from campus. Was kinda surprised, but deep inside, was a thrilled feeling for him. Never would I thought that he would actually went and sign up for it actually, for some reason. Haha... But there's no doubt that he can really be a good leader.
Possessing good leadership skills, he has high goals and well, what more can I say? He really changed a lot since I knew him during Foundation. Change to a person who has high self-esteem, and getting more and more 'nerd' guar.. haha (sorry, Yew Tat)
All in all, I would say, if he's up in the nomination list for the student rep, he'll definitely have my vote! Haha... All the best, my dear friend!

I used to think that I can be independent, and till now, perhaps i have been in my parents' arms all the while, protected and comforted by them, so I have my under-exposed world of my own, thinking that the world is beautiful and perfect as if it's a fairy tale.
This afternoon, i was confronted by a young man all of a sudden. I was reluctant to give any response to him, but so as not to be deemed as impolite, I just listen to what he wanna say. He asked a lot of questions, including where I study, where I live, etc. From that moment, my heart thumped very quickly. Deep inside, I was very afraid, the timid me was ready to run as fast as I can from that stranger, but at that moment, I just didn't know what to do.
After all the questioning, he explained about a society for folks and asked for donation. The minimum amount of contribution was RM20! (what on earth is that donation that requires a MINIMUM amount??!) How stupid I was, I replied that I did not bring enough cash out and just contributed RM5, wrote my name on the so-called contribution list, and thats it. Surprisingly, there are many helpful people who contributed RM50 and above. To where these lump sum of money goes, I don't know. But at least I've done my bit as a citizen...regardless I was conned or not. That was an incident that made me scared for quite some time. And for dunno what reason, I cried when I reached home. Thank God, I was safe and sound when I reach home.
My parents used to say, never ever talk to strangers. But when the time comes, how can we avoid these people?? I really don't know. I'm so dependent all the while and such a 'crybaby'.. :-(
Nevertheless, I admit that I'm too naive and really need to see the world outside. This is reality, not a fairy-tale!

Sher Ryn played truant today!! omg... As if that's big news... I don't know since when I have this kind of lazy feeling - to skip classes. To be frank, I don't really pay attention in classes, what more boring classes. I hope I didn't miss much today.. Hehe.. (kinda feel regret..)

The uniqueness of love, is within one's heart... Today i actually shared my thoughts to a friend of mine. Haha... and thanks to this person, I really felt better. I always think I don't know how to express myself in words - coz somehow i tend to keep everything to myself. If there's anything, I would rather hide under the pillow and weep. At least I can find comfort that way...
Here, I really wanna thank one person that has been so caring for me. We trudged through all ups and downs of life and that really leaves many sweet memories. 1 year plus might be a short span of being together, but what he did for me stays emblazoned in my mind.
I remember someone telling me this phrase, "How many times can a heart break before it actually dies"... But today, after sharing thoughts with my friend, i find what he said is meaningful and logical. What happened in the past shall be forgotten. Most important is, what's ahead. For the past four months I've been thinking a lot and cried even for a simple thing.
But from now on, I will just put those sad moments aside, and happy memories will be kept with me for the rest of my life. What I can say is, this guy has really great influence in my life, and he has been a great man. No matter what happens, from this moment, we'll be very good and best friends.
Thank you for everything that you've done for me, Yew Tat! Friends forever and I'll appreciate this friendship. And to my dear friends who have been there to listen and giving advises, thanks a lot too... I promise, I'll try not to think of negative stuffs and make myself a 'cry-baby' anymore. After all, I am considered very lucky to have a family and friends who cares a lot for me. They have been there whenever I need them.

What an exhausting day after long hours of study. The amount of work to be done seem to pile up each and everyday and remain merely untouched. Coursework is coming up, and I barely know what the subjects are all about.
Honestly, I begin to doubt the credibility of the lecturers. Sorry to say, but I really don't understand most of the things they teach. But what choice do students like me have? We just gotta rely on text books, lecture notes... and bury our head in mountain-high notes and papers and read, read and read!
Sometimes I pondered, are the lecturers should be those to be blamed for all these? While students are working their way out to perform better in their studies, some lecturers just "don't seem to be qualified a lecturer". Maybe that's why people often brag that the number of certificates we get is nothing!
A very brief summary on my lecturers (hope no one will report about these, haha):
Theory of Interest - The worst of the worst. Can be said as a 'verbal' text book - coz he reads everything from the text. Lecture notes photocopied from the text too!
Advanced calculus - the second worst of the worst. Though titled "Professor Doctor bla bla bla"... His voice is barely audible over the PA system, and sometimes perhaps too old to hold the mic for a long time.
Probability and Statistics 2 - the best lecturer in this sem. Explains everything clearly and good methodology of teaching.
Oral communication & Interpersonal Skills - no comment. So far so good.
Microeconomics 1 - Not bad. But sometimes the monotonous way of delivering her lectures leads to drowsiness. Haha...
I'm really going to comment a lot in the next survey for lecturers and tutors.

All work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy. Being in the second year in actuarial science isn't an easy one. Ah.. i just miss those times when I can have blissful relaxation. Studies becoming tougher and tougher, but I believe effort one put in is very important. Though it's a tough and challenging subject, it is still my choice at first when I filled up the course registration form. As I my parents and the older ones rightly said, "You have to be responsible for every decision that you've made".
Ah, well.. I guess thats just the tiny-weeny part of one's life. Everyone goes through and undergo stress. Hehe..
Honestly, I'm a total flop in writing. But since I have the knack of conveying my feelings and thoughts in a blog, I decided to start up a new world of my own, besides polishing my English. For those who view my blog, do feel free to drop a comment. Haha...
